Jessica Alba is to host the 2006 MTV Movie Awards. The screen beauty, who is also nominated for three gongs, admits she is thrilled to be fronting the prestigious event on June 3. She said: "It's always a crazy, fun show, and I can't wait to be right in the middle of the action."
Alba, 25 , is up for Sexiest Performance and the Best Hero awards for her role as racy dancer Nancy Callahan in 'Sin City'. The stunning actress is also in the running to pick up the Best On-screen Team' accolade with Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd for her performance in superhero movie 'Fantastic Four'. The ceremony, which airs on MTV on June 8, will be filmed five days earlier at the Sony Picture Studios, in California.
